  • New Paint Job

Hey whats going on guys. Im new to this forum. And I already did a search before posting. To make things quick and simple, I have a Honda Accord that just got repainted. Due to numerous swirls and what not. Anyhow, I repainted the car a different shade of black as it originally was.

I need tips and keys on how to prevent the paint from swirling, or how to preserve this paint.

I went thru the forum and saw that there is a foam gun that I can use to wash the car. Is this a good way to wash a car? Or just use the 2 bucket technique with a sheepskin mitt? And drying the car with a water magnet.

What do you guys recommend doing to preserve my paint? Any help is much appreciated.

Well, certainly give these a read... How long has it been since it was repainted?

Even with a foam gun, at some point you're going to have to --> touch <-- the car in order to loosen and remover the dirt, the key then is to touch the car in the least invasive manner so as not to put swirls and scratches into the paint.

For this you want to use a slick, slippery, high lubricity soap like our Gold Class Car Wash and a high quality wash mitt. Also important is the actual manner in which you move the wash mitt over the surface, there's a difference between washing gently and scrubbing the paint.
