  • Painter's tape bra.

I have sold my car. The new owner wants to drive it back to Texas.

Does anyone have pictures of their car headed to a show with a blue painter's tape bra?

I want to show him other people do it!

When I bought my 92 Miata a few years ago, the drive was from Wash, DC to Indy, thru constant rain. The duct tape worked pretty well...

This shot is upon arrival in Indy):

If it was easy, everybody'd be doing it!

Guy in TX bought it, wants to drive it back.

I told him to ship it. It would be $800 to ship. He will spend at least $500+ in gas alone. One or two rock chips or flat tire and BAM your way over a $1,000.

I will replace it with a newer Viper. They are much better daily driver the the first ones. Best bang for the buck in my price range. Would like a Lambo or 430. Mrs. wants the big house first.

It will be a silver one. A little more subtle. If subtle is a word you can use with a Viper.

geesh that would take a long time.

well worth it if you're going to a show.

duct tape? like actual duct tape? wouldn't it leave a lot of residue as it have plenty of adhesive?

By subtle you mean like: 500 Hp, 8.0 liter V-10, with neck snapping, tire shreadding acceleration....

Yeah! BUt that one on the video has like 1500 Hp, via a couple of turbos....your basic bolt-ons.

You're right, that new Viper is subtle. It's missing the Go-Fast stripes

And yes, the duct tape does have a lot of adhesive but you'll notice it's actually quite dry and easy to remove. The adhesive even peels off the tape if you touch it with your fingers. This is the plastic stuff, not the cloth gaffa that you tie people up with :P
