On my 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo I have used Meguiars One Step Leather Care lotion stuff from Walmart (Red Bottle). I used microfiber towels to wipe it on the leather wrapped steering wheel and seats. Now when Walmart ran out I bought meguiars gold class rich leather wipes. I'm thinking of going back to using meguiars one step leather care lotion using microfiber towel for my leather wrapped steering wheel since the black leather seems to be fading and discoloring badly since I started using meguiars gc rich leather wipes on the steering wheel. Also I have been using the wipes once a week since summer is upon us. I am wondering how much I should use the gc wipes on the seats in the summer as the car sits out in the sun all day. I figure twice a month is probably enough though I am not sure. And how about how often in winter, spring and fall? And how often to treat leather wrapped steering wheel? Or discontinue treating the leather wrapped steering wheel since I have noticed really bad discoloring on it since I began using the gc wipes. I never noticed the one step leather care (red bottle) ever discolor the steering wheel. Wipes and Red Bottle leave steering wheel slick for a while which is why I do not drive the car for a while after application of product. If I should be doing things differently using different products or something please let me know. Thanks.
