When using Color RX is it better to use it with a DAP or to do it by hand when applying? I am new to using it and i want to know what I should do to get the best look out of it.

i have found that using colorx with the pc works better. but... that doesn't mean that you can't obtain good results by doing it by hand, as mike demonstrates here -->http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...ghlight=bronco

If you are cleaning the car's finish with colorx, it is more effective to use it with the pc. Speed 5 with the g-100 on a w8006 pad can really get the job done!

ColorX is an effective cleaner wax. It can be used to great effects when you are in a pinch for time, or if the person doesn't want to go into great extent when detailing his/her car.

            Steps could include something like:

            Wash
            Clay
            ColorX
            Wax/Sealant of your choice.

This is a simple plan that will yield excellent results for the time it takes, and will be especially evident on darker colors.

ColorX does not HAVE to be topped, but it is probably a good idea to. I like ColorX topped by Nxt for a quick and easy combo, it easily sufficed for my few details throughout my freshman year fo college.

Yeah I am using it on a 10 year old paint job. I cab look and see that it is fadding. My clear coat it bad too. I am hoping that colorX will help it from getting really bad.

This may sound like a dumb question but why is the pad like a greenish blue.

I think it's because it is single stage paint versus base coat/clear coat...

From what I remember, ColorX is blue so that could be the ColorX on the applicator?
