  • Steps for a great wax job

Can you experts help me on the correct steps for a great cleaning and waxing job for my Toyota truck? My vehicle has been washed with Mequiar's gold car wash and is ready to go!

Then is it done in this order?
    1. clay bar (finish is rough)
    2. wax
    3. polish

What bonnets(color) should I use on my P/C random orbital polisher to do the best job on the waxing and polishing?

    Thanks for all your help!

    What products are you using?

As for PC pads(Meguiars), pure polishes and waxes use the Meguiar's W-9006 foam finishing pad(tan) for cleaner polishes Meguiar's W-8006 Foam Polishing Pad(yellow)

        Just to be sure...

Does your polisher look like one of these?

        Or like this...

Be sure to read over these as well then, they should contain most of what you need.

Using the G-100 to remove swirls with the Professional Line

And once you get it back in good shape, you can follow some of the advice is this thread:

BTW, how long ago did you wash your truck? It may have picked up a lot of dust after a day or two, so you may find you need to rewash, rather than work that dust into the surface.
