  • Base Coat Detailing

    Hi everyone:

I post this thread since i've not done a single stage paint with the rotary, and that might be a car i'd be detailing next saturday.

the paint's condition is moderately oxidated, and does not have any major damage on it. however, it has not been detailed for about 8 or 9 years, so can anyone tell me some tips or suggestions to leave it shiny and not way thin?

by the way, here's the list of the products I use for rotary detailing

    Compund power cleaner (M83)
Automagic #110: power cut plus (sort of like diamond cut)
Evercoat Machine glaze (kind like medium cut cleaner)
Automagic BC-1 (kind like M83 DACP)
    Meguiars M82
    Meguiars DC2
    Meguiars cleaner wax (commercial line)

Hope someone can answer my question

    Thanks

I would definitely want to clay the paint to pick out the embedded debris.. Then just watch the ridges, humps with the rotary. sounds like you know what to do from there!!
