  • Best Final Wax Steps #26 #16 or #21?

I want to figure the best final steps for my personal car. I have an 03 M5 and have these 3 products at hand for wax/seal. The #26, #16, and #21. Which would be best to use out of all of them? I plan to use these by hand and after Wash, #80, #7.... then..?

I'll vote for #21... very impressive so far for me.

      Hi all,

I know you asked which ONE but I'd go with #21 then #16...........even better spit polish #16.

My thoughts exactly. #21 followed with #16. Does it really make a difference wether or not i use #7 show car glaze before that and after #80?

#80 has enough polishing oils to keep the paint healthy, so it would mostly be just for looks if you used #7.

If you have a dark colored car, the difference in looks may show up more, just have to try a panel each way and see if you notice the difference.

IS there anything that would be beneficial for the paint between #80 and #21. I have an 03 Titanium Silver M5.

#7 is probably the best polish as far as looks go. If that doesnt change how things look, not much will.

Have you clayed your car at all? That can make a huge difference.

I apologize for the slight thread hijack, but the OP mentioned that he is doing it by hand. How effective is using #80 (and #7 for that matter) by hand?

I think he meant #7 and wax by hand, but #80 can be used by hand as well. You wont get all of the swirl removal benefits by hand, as machine is an important part of breaking down the abrasives. People with tight spots will apply #80 by hand if needed where PC cant reach.

But it can be used as a general cleaner well if needed by hand.

i think imo topping 21 with 16, kind of numbs down the appearence of the car...

usign it on my metallic burgandy car, with 21 on it looked wet and had some depth..

16 kind of numbed it down to just being shiny...

ive topped #21 with #16 and yes, it did dull down the shine.. so what i did was run QD over the entire car with a microfiber towel and it came back to life. It also held amazing results with the beading action. Check out the photos.
