Sorry to be such a pest about this. When my car was repainted is it possible that swirls were "installed" under the clear coat? Reason I ask, is becuase I don't seem to be able to remove them with the PC (and I am not putting new ones in) , however, the surface is very susceptible to scratching. How can I tell if the swirls are under the clearcoat?

I did a restoration on a Saab that had some previous body work. I was thinking that there were scratches that certainly looked to be removable but just weren't coming out. Heck, they wouldn't even improve. Inspection under artificial light(halogen) showed that they were sanding marks under the paint. I was relieved and frustrated all at the same time as the rest of the panel was perfect but the area in question looked terrible. So yes, it is possible that it's under the paint/clear.Quadruple Honda Owner
