Scratch X is still a mild cleaner, but more aggressive than Color X. Scratch X is only a paint cleaner, and you will need to follow up with a separate polish and wax.
Even Scratch X has it's limits. If it doesn't do the job after about 5 (well rubbed in) applications, you have to live with it, or move onto something more aggressive.Never argue with an Idiot.. They'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience..

Many of the products do have overlapping features.
Once you learn the nuances of each, it will make more sense as to why they have so many products.
Meguiar's products aren't just garden variety "car wax". They make finely tuned and tested products that work with a variety of users and user styles.
Part of the enjoyment, at least for some of us, is learning the specialties of each product and how it applies to the task at hand.
Sometimes, too, there is no one single "best" product in any category. Several will work and give good results.See the big picture, enjoy the details
