  • GC wash causes water smearing

    hi all,

ive noticed when i wash teh car with GC conditioner and shampoo, and wash the cars exterior windows..
when i goto use the windscreen wipers, i get water streaks as if the rubber blades are useless..

should i not clean the windows with the GC?

I have never experienced that problem, I have used Gold Class Shampoo for several years. Do you use any type of glass cleaner? Have you tried to give your windows a good cleaning?

        Hey,

It sounds like something has gotten on your glass as I have never had or heard of issues with GC doing that before.

I would suggest deep cleaning your glass. Here is a thread that will explain what to do and use:

        Give the above a try!

this has happened on the white car i detailed last week...
the windscreen wipers worked like a dream, until after i detailed the car, and went to use the wipers

On occasion we'd see this if someone was overzealous when applying treatment to the engine compartment.

The overspray would get in the wipers and on the glass.

This wouldn't happen to be your case, would it?

Also, have you tried replacing the blades?

i didnt detail teh engine bay as the car is still pretty new...

the blades are pretty new also...
hence why they worked perfectly before the detail.
