  • "Thin Paint" effect - how to remove

Hi, new here. Sorry if this has been asked before.

OK, attached is a picture of my ride's front bumper. Its a new car (a Proton Gen.2), which was delivered about 3 weeks back.

If you take a real close look on the paint finish, you'll see soft black spots look like to be underneath the clear coat.

Now, what I have are Colorx, GC Paste Wax, and GC Bug & Tar remover, plus a GC Shampoo.

Can they do wonder to remove the thing?

    Hi maza,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Sorry I didn't get to you sooner, we were kind of busy over here,

Extreme Makeover - 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Convertible (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11428) Time: Starting at 4:00pm and going to about 9:00pm Place: Meguiar's Garage Date: Wednesday, March 15th If you would like to be a part of the Extreme Makeover Team and help to transform this 1949

If the blackness you describe is in fact under the clear coat than there is nothing you can do to fix the problem without repainting.

If the problem is on the clear coat, then try some ScratchX or ColorX and put a little passion behind your pad.
