Which product is the least aggressive product. I think on the bottle #82 would be. However why does it follow #83 in the number chain. Slightly confused about the aggressiveness of the two products.

M82 is the least aggressive of the three
M80 is slightly more aggressive
M83 is the most aggressive of these three
If you use the chart given on the bottles instead of looking at the part numbers, you're on the right track.See the big picture, enjoy the details

M82 and M09 are very, very light cleaner/polishes and best results for actually removing a swirl out of paint is with a rotary buffer.
These two products will remove light swirls with the dual action polisher with the right technique and if the paint is fairly soft.
Most people can get most of the work they want to get done with M83 and M80
