  • Customers?

Maybe the "Pro's" can add in here..

Megiuar's is fairly available at most local auto outlets, which also means that most people ( the aveage person of the street), has access to this products, so my question is to those that are in the detailing business, especially the mobile guys..

How does one get customers? what stop the average person buying these products and applying them? Surely this impact the business of most detailers?

Talent, knowledge, and experience.Ive had customers try to out detail me then they brought the car to me after they hurt the vehicle.Anybody can go and buy the product but its how its used that makes or breaks the detail.I also find that most people want a detailed car they just dont have the time.To answer the how to get customers question,My Mach1 helps me get customers,I take it to a cruise night and let them admire the deep wet looking WHITE car and ask how do you do it.Keep in mind the car is bonestock. And lots of times I get clients. Its all about the presentation. In my case I was a Journeyman technican for a long time so I can Repair,Hot Rod, and detail all in one.Hope this explains alot.

Drag hit it right on the head.

It's my equipment, experience, and knowledge that makes all the difference.
Never argue with an Idiot.. They'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience..

For the most part they just dont have the time, tools and experience to do the job right. Most people ,once they trust you they will keep coming back and not really mind how much they pay for a job they know is done correctly and looks great. The word spreads quickly when customers talk highly of you to their friends and family.
