stupid dressing questions

I hate to ask such basic stuff, but when I think of "dressing" I think of whether I want Italian or French...

Is this an amor-all-like product? If not, can someone describe it for me?

I am looking for something to provide some protection to the underside of my car, is this the type of product I want? If so, I assume I have to spray it, but how?

No, the dressings Meguiars makes are for the rubber/plastic/vinyl found on the inside and outside of the car, or under the hood. I guess you might say something like Armor-All, but much much better.

They are not going to be a heavy duty underbody protectant.

I agree with Murr1525. The only thing is I wont'nt use Armor-All on my rubber on vinyl. I would use Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Protect.
