  • Breaking down ScratchX?

was trying to see what kind of results i could get w/ scratch x by hand before trying a PC7424/#83 combo today, so i went at it pretty hard.

at one point, the scratchx turned from white/clear to a brown color.

is this the scratchx breaking down?

my other thought that this was scratchx taking off the area where i had dc#1/dc#2 the other day as i was playing around for a bit. i believe the dc#2 was a brown color.

ScratchX is white in color and if you're working on a clear coat finish and it's turning brown the color or pigment you're seeing is coming from something else such as dirt still in the paint?

    What color was your applicator?

If you applied DC1 and DC2, while these are indeed a brown/khaki color I'm not sure there would be enough residue left after wiping the products off to turn a full-on application of ScratchX brown?

    What are you working on?

Is this happening anywhere you apply the ScratchX or in just one place?
