  • What wheel cleaner would you use?

There are now at least seven different products to clean wheels. I'm not 100% what the differences are between any of them.

    Hot Rims® Chrome Wheel Cleaner
    Hot Rims® Multi-Piece Wheel Wash
    Hot Rims® All Wheel Cleaner
    Gold Class All Wheel Cleaner
    NXT Generation™ All Metal Polysh
    Gold Class Instant Wheel Cleaner
    Hi-Tech Wheel Cleaner (#36)

My rims are described as "gunmetal grey with machined lip, one-piece aluminum construction".

What would be the best cleaner for my particular rims? It does have a polished lip, so it would be nice to get the extra shine out of that.

All Wheel Cleaner should be fine, follow up with some Metal Polysh and if your ambitious wax your wheels too! Some people here also have clayed their wheels.

I can't speak for the wheel cleaners but the link below is what I do with my wheels, just gives you another option.

      Wheels ~ the extra step....

My wheels are painted/Clear Coated, basically I care for them as I would a the paint on my vehicle. As SiriusRIMZ a coat of wax! IMO the wax really helps in maintaining the look, SiriusRIMZ also mentioned NXT Generation All Metal Polysh great product, should really polish the lip as well as add some protection.

Gb which would be better, NXT Liquid, #16 or #21 to use on the inside of my wheels? I'm somewhat scared of whats on the inside of my wheels (80,000 miles and no cleaning ). I'm leaning to #21, but then again #16 has some serious water beading...

I can't really speak from experience on #16(never used) or #21(used once on my truck) as I have not used them in my wheels... But any synthetic/polymer type wax would work, the idea being they stand up to the heat (from the brakes) better then a carnauba will.

I use the Wheel Brightener from the Detailing line.

I notice that I clean a lot of rims even before I started my detailing business. With that said the gallon dilution has saved me a lot of $ and the chemical does a great job on brake dust and tires.

$20.00 a gallon. I forget the dilution ratio but you definately get your money's worth. Can't go wrong.
