  • Question about #9...

I just purchased some #9 Swirl Remover and after doing some research on the forum I see that it is the least abrasive product for removing swirls.

My question is, how many times can I use this product without having to worry about reducing the thickness of my clearcoat? My car has a new paint job and I want to use the most gentle cleaner/polish possible.

    Thanks.

Without knowing the actual thickness of your clear coat, it would be impossible to say for sure. However, I have used #9 for probably close to 20 years, and it is very mild. I would not hesitate to use it each time you wax, by hand or PC, in order to clean the paint and add the richness and clarity that #9 can provide!!!

Yeah, #9 is so mild as to be almost functionally nonabrasive on many of today's paints, at least when *not* used with a rotary.

yep #9 is great for removing very minor defects in the paint and giving a nice shine at the same time, its great used after #80 and before a coat or 2 of NXT
