  • I found this!

I was going over my detailing kit when I saw this: "Formula1 Shine it all" formula1wax.com/html/specialtyPolishes [edited for commercial link; 2hotford]

I use it on all car trims and works very well. It has no powdery residue and very easy to apply. Your hands glides smoothly over the treated part of your car (not oily but like a waxed surface feel). It's a white liquid but when applied, it is clear. It darkens and supposedly protects black trims/rubber and shines chromes.

I use it after waxing with NXT and it removes wax oversprays on black trims. Also, one good thing about it is when you use it to remove white wax on black trims, you need not worry about over applying it to painted surfaces because it also contains wax (no need for tapes!). Just remove it using MF the way you remove wax!

    Anyone else tried it?

Our forum rules, like every forum I've ever been on, (company owned or not), doesn't allow commercial links like the one you have posted. Don't feel bad, we have members that do this all the time with no harm intent, they either have never read the forum rules or they have read the forum rules and they have just forgotten about this particular rule.

That said, it's almost better to allow people to share links like the one above because it enables the discussion of other products and at the end of the day, people purchase, use and recommend what works best for them. If a product, or a selection of products from a company, gain in popularity among serious enthusiasts, it's never because of what's on the label or the marketing efforts behind the products, it really comes down to what's in the bottle or can.

    It's as simple as,
    • * Does the product work
      * Does the product do what it claims it will do
      * Does it work better than similar products

The free market always determines the winner, not marketing, and not restricting the flow of information. If a person is passionate about something, truly passionate, then they will find a way and a place to talk about it, that's human nature.

I clicked on the link above and interestingly enough, they include a link to the company that actually manufactures their products.

    Northern Labs
    Consumer Products
    Contract Manufacturing

If the products work for you and you like them, then fee free to use them, I've used a number of items they make and there's nothing there that would make me switch from using Meguiar's products.

As far as discussing them here, we don't allow bashing of people, products or other companies, that's in the forum rules.

If anyone wants to rave about a non-Meguiar's product then it would probably be best to go to that companies discussion forum and do it there, not here.

Does all of the above make sense?
