  • Problem with pictures

    Hi guys,

dunno if this is the right forum for asking,(please redirect me if not, thanks)

I've been trying to take pictures with a 3.2 megapixel digital camera to highlight my swirls and cobweb troubles to the forum but everytime i take it under the light, it always comes out wrong

Anyone has ideas how to take the pictures (i.e: from which angle and using what type of light?)

    Thanks.
    Cheers,

Direct overhead sunlight always works the best for me...

I also have good luck using the camera flash but depending on the lighting condition and/or if there is anything on the surface to focus on you might have to use your finger, (I do this one), or place a dime on the finish and then try.

Other than that you might try a halogen light, or a Xeon light. Have a friend hold the light while you take the picture

        Hi Mike,

Can I ask whether the Xeon and halogen lights are handheld (i.e: using batteries) OR connected to power supply?

        Thanks.
