The Porter Cable has a one year warrantee only. So the Cost of Owenership reduces the ultimate price of this machine when you consider you get a new one when it dies. Tough to beat that value. It certainly gives you peace of mind. By it once never buy another."Automotive Detailing with a Passion!"

There is a stack of them in the warehouse that have been returned due to failure or wearing out. Meguiar's justs sends out a brand new one.
It is a very good deal if you think you're going to use it a lot.
I own two of them, and I think one of them sounds like it maybe coming undone internally. There is one in the Training Garage that sounds the same.
So they do wear out with use.

Essentially, the PC is a Power Tool. All Power tools expire due to usage. Now the reason the Porter Cable is so popular is due to it's manufacturing quality. They are made very well and the repair history is also very good. Being well built and usually, little breakdown, means however when it does go it usually is on it's way out. Once again, you save another $100+ not having to buy a new one!
Another thing you save other than the $$, from your Cost of Ownership, is no downtime having to send one in for repair, and if you ever have, it costs almost as much as buying a new one....errrrrrr......oh yeah, you bought one from Meguiar's (lifetime warrantee!)"Detailing with a Passion!"
