  • How can Ming say no more waxing?

I was reading the paper this evening and ran across a Ming ad.
How can they claim this? Cars are subject to extremes.
Anybody out there know about this? Thanks.

Not familiar with the ad/company. What does it have to say?

How these companies get away with such **** is the wording. They sell you a warranty, NOT a product. The "warranty" is good as long as their product is used. The problem is people believe the 5 year "protection" is actually the sealant. I read through an Auto Armor sales guide that a salesman swiped for me. It was nothing more than tips on how to scare people into having this put on their car. There was not one thing saying their products would even work!

Well, to follow up with what showtime said, often times the sales pitch is 'If you use this, your paint wont fall off for 5 years, so you wont need to wax for another 5 years'. The two arent related, but yes, your paint wont fall off for 5 years.

Ming has been out many years and I understand a Ming job, looks very good, but it wont last any longer then any other product.

Sorry for late reply, busy. Found their website: www.mingdrdent.com. They say it's guaranteed 3 years. From what I read it bonds and seals the paint fills in pits etc. Heat is invloved. To me stuff still gets on the finish and must be taken off.
Cost about 300.00 to apply. Gonna call tommorrow and inquire.
