    Hi Nate,

Any of Meguiar's cleaners will help remove swirl marks, but some are stronger than others.

I would recommend #83 DACP or MPPC...These two products are the strongest cleaners you can use with a PC, but I like the gloss #83 leaves behind...Use the W-8006 polishing pad with these products.

#82 SFP is a good follow up to the cleaners, as it will remove fine scratches and leave an incredible gloss behind....Use with W-8006 pad.

You can then finnish up with the NXT/W-9006 combo.

As for claying, I like the Quick Clay System.

Be sure to use a quality car wash, such as Gold Class with a wash mitt, and the 2 bucket wash method.

Looks like a winning formula for success. Speed on 5 for the PC should be fine. It would be best to wait 12-24 hours aftern the initial coat of Ntx before coat two is applied. Wax, either carnuba or polymer needs this amount of time to "cure".

Also, applying about 5 lbs of pressure on the PC is best for the results you are looking for regarding the application of the #83 and #82 products. You are working these in and breaking down the product. 6 lbs. looks and feels tight when the back plate presses into the pad enough so the PC reamins fliud and not stressed or dragging. It is a "feel" thing, also the sound wil assist you regarding pushing to hard. you will "hear' the strain.

What do you guys think of this for the ultimate shine:

          wash car
          clay car
          #83 with W-8006 pad
          #82 with W-8006 pad
          #81 with W-9006 pad
2 coats NXT wax W-9006 pad

Yeah that's what I do for the ultimate shine

I have done it a couple of times now with great results.

I think for an interim detail with the paint in otherwise good order just doing #82 with the W8006 pad, followed by 2 coats of NXT with the W9006 pad is almost as good. You just seem to lack a bit of the depth you get with adding in the #81 on darker colours.

Then after each time you wash just give a quick coat of NXT Spray Booster Wax to keep it looking good.

Use the W-9006 pad with NXT at, say, a 3 or 4 speed.
