  • Quick Review Of The New Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered the new gallon sized Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax from ADS. Whenever I get something new, I try it first on my own vehicles to see how it performs before using it on customer vehicles.

I pulled out our '07 Camry Hybrid and gave it a good wash using the two bucket system, grit guards, MF mitts and Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner. Earlier this year, I did a complete detail (wash, clay, polish and wax) so it really didn't need much more than a good wash and possibly a wax. Water beaded very well since the last wax (Tech Wax 2.0)

After drying the car, I inspected the finish for any roughness (found none) eliminating the need for clay. So on with trying the Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax.

I got a new spray bottle out, shook well the gallon of Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax and poured it in the spray bottle undiluted.
As per product instructions, I started one section at a time on the hood doing a quarter section at a time which ended up being about 2'X2' area. Using a clean MF towel, I spread the product amd immediately followed that with a new, clean MF towel to wipe the product off while still wet. I buffed the area to a shine and went on to complete the entire hood.
I stood back and inspected the area and was REALLY impressed with the gloss of the charcoal grey color and the reflection. And talk about SLICK??
The Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax gives such an incredible slickness to the surface that I honestly wondered if it beat the feel of standard wax. I can't express enough how smooth and slippery the hood felt.

I have to say that I am 100% sold and impressed with this new spray wax and will keep it in my arsenal of Meguiars product.

I have to give this the two thumbs up and if I had more thumbs, it would get those too. Nice work Meguiars!!

Awesome. Better get the plans together for that bank robbery. I'll need money to buy all of these awesome new products. Thanks for doing the review.

I think you can spray it on and wipe it off like UQW right?

Sorry for the delay Shawn. Yes, it wipes on/off the same. I'll tell ya, it goes on nice and comes off better....I never saw streaks, smudging or anything like that. Some good stuff.

            Thanks for the review Don!

I just received my order of this the other day and I'm keen to give it a try soon!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Here in the Chicago area we are at the end of our detailing season, but I just had to buy some X-Press Spray Wax to try it out. I got to try it one time (so far) and it is great stuff just like UQW is. Hopefully it has a long shelf life because it will be sitting all winter.

Besides making the finish look good, it makes it feel so smooth! What great stuff!

anyone know the shelf life of this product?

I have 3 vehicles to maintain so I doubt a gallon will last too long in my garage...

Been using the new Synthetic X Press Spray Wax on almolst all of my recent details and I love it.

A little goes a long way, a gallon will last you a decent amount of time on your 3 vehicles, depending on how much you wash/detail them.
