  • "rail dust"

I have a show 2002 Accord. Recently I have noticed a number of rust coloured specks on the lower panels. Apparently this stuff is called "rail dust." It takes an awful lot of elbow grease to get this stuff off. Any ideas?

What you actualy want is to clay the car.

Get yourself a Smooth Surface Clay kit, and go at it with that. You can do a search on here for lots of 'claying how to' advice.

      is it like this ?
sry for the blurry pic. but to get rid of it you will need to use clay and a good paint cleaner like deep crystal step 1

I don't think it is rail dust unless it has been on the car since 2002 and you just now noticed it. I think what you are seeing is brake dust but no matter a clay bar is what you need to properly remove it.
