W7207 Backing Seperation??

I recently purchased (3) W7207 Soft Buff 2.0 Foam Cutting pads to use with my Makita 9227c rotary (W68 backing plate). The pads worked out pretty well, but after I washed them I had backing seperation from two of them. One completely seperated and one is partially seperating. The 3rd one is fine.

Have any of you run into this before?

I also used and washed some existing W8207 polishing pads (washed at least 5 times each) and those are fine. Just the new W7207 pads that I bought have the issue.

Re: W7207 Backing Seperation??

Our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this issue. It most definitely should not be happening, especially since you're using the W68 backing plate and a rotary buffer. Please give a call to our Customer Care Center at 800-347-5700 between 10AM and 8PM Michigan time and reference this thread. They'll take care of you.

Re: W7207 Backing Seperation??

Thanks Mike. Customer Care is taking care of me (as I suspected they would).

Great service.
