recieved 3m stuff in a gift pack ???

i have recieved alll grades of the 3m wet or dry automotive sanding papers are these any good i was planning on ordering the megs nikken papers but im not sure wether or not to use the 3m any1 have any experience with them or opinions any help would help im back and forth contemplating on wether to use em or not

They are a good product, but I prefer the Meguiar's because they don't load up as much and seem to last longer. Hey, use 'em up, then go with the others.

wel...mmmm i've used both brands, but iv'e used 3M's sanding papers mor than meguiars. i've only used 3000 grit meguiars sandpaper and it worked great. sanding marks buff out easily, as 3M's papers did buff out quickly too.

on my personal experience, i noticed meguiar's sanding papers cut better, while 3M's papers cut slightly less even if you are using very abrasive grits like 1500 or 1200...even 1000...

i'd recommend you to try both papers, and both being the same grit size so you can compare results. just be sure to have a sanding backing pad, and any meguiars compound. it works magic with marks.

...just forgot to tell you: if you don't have a lot of experience in wet sanding, use 2500 or 3000 grit paper to start.

What Chex said. Once I tried the Unigrit papers I never went back to 3M. And yeah, start with the 3K.
