orange peal

What is the best way to remove orange peal. Paint in single stage Dupont. I have tried wet sanding with 1000 grit, and have removed most of it but can not get a gloss shine back.

First, 1000 grit sand paper is very rough for a paint finish. 2500 or 3000 grit is where you want to finish wet sanding. After that, polishing with either a rotary, or DA will bring back a shine.

Using DA will polish along do the trick after using 2500-3000 grit.

Not sure if the DA alone would be able to... hopefully someone with more wet sanding experience will chime in...
