    Cool NXT, I like it.

I detailed my TA yesterday with my new PC and some NXT.

I had about 8-10 coats of Zaino on the car and didn't strip it since the paint is in good shape. I am preparing for a car show this coming weekend and I wasn't really sure how it would turn out with the NXT but I am more than happy now.

I have to say, I am impressed with the look of the NXT. My paint looks much deeper than before and the shine is excellent. My paint is navy blue metalic but the car looks dark blue, light blue or purple depending on how the light hits it as you can see in the pictures at the link below.

Here is a close up of the front:

    And more pics....

    NXT = good stuff.

Also, sorry about the pictures. I had to take them in the garage since it was cloudy with a light rain when I finished working on the car.

    Hi hawkfish,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

You know I hate to pick on any one competitor's product, but because of all the hype that surrounds that product, it sure is nice to see someone get the same results I have been getting for months and months now...

Here is a sample of cars that all previously had the competitors product on them, and while they did look shiny, but they didn't look like this...

    Newport Viper

    FNC80

    OctaneGuy

If you haven't already, apply a second and third coat when time allows. The second coat really insures uniform results throughout.

Hi Mike and thanks for the welcome.

Part of the reason that I wanted to try NXT was because of the bottom picture of the mini that you posted. When I saw the shine on that car, I just had to try it and I am happy that I did.

I plan on putting a couple more coats of NXT on as soon as I have time.

I do have one question, is it okay to use Eagle One wipe and shine as a quick detailer until I can get my hands on some Meguiar's No. 34 Final Inspection? I don't think I can get FI by this weekend and I want to QD my car when I get to the car show.

    Thanks

    Doug

I don't see a problem with using EO Wipe & Shine. What show are you going to?

Your car looks great -- put on another coat of NXT and it will look even better. I have a black car and it just gets deeper and the shine is great.

    Thanks.

I am going to try and get another coat on it Thursday night. I took the cover off tonight and I noticed that the paint looked even better than the other night after I finished working on it. The NXT must have cured and the paint looks even deeper than before.

I put another coat of NXT on the TA tonight and it looks even deeper than the other night.

I did notice that it was a just little harder to remove but it was 20 degrees warmer with high humidity today.

Thanks for the comments and advice everyone.
