    how to get water spots off Laquer paint

    I am working on a 39 Packard V12 7 passenger touring and it has etched water spots on the hood, I have tried buffing with meguiars rubbing compounds and they are still there, any suggestions?? The car is going to a concourse in a few weeks and I need help.
