Pad maintenance for the G-100

I know I saw this somewhere on a thread but the search results did not turn anything back to me. I purchased a bristled brush to clean my 8006 and 9006 pads, but is that it? Are they ready to be used again say, this weekend?
Should you, or can you throw them in the wash? Should you use any detergent. Anything would help as to maintaining these pads.

Cleaning foam pads used on a dual action polisher can be difficult.

Meguiar's does not recommend washing them but a lot of our members do with success.
