is there anyway to remove light scratches in glass or just a way to hide them?

Sadly, removing scratches in glass is not that easy. The Eastwood Company makes a glass polishing kit though I have never tried it myself and therefore can not comment on its effectiveness. Here is a thread that discusses the cleaning/polishing of glass:
