  • Fast Finish v. Quick Wax v. Quick Detailer

I am new to the Meguiar's line of products and I am a little confused. I have used Adam's Detail Products for well over ten years now and knew what was what. What I am confused on really are the three products mentioned in the title, although not so much on the Quick Detailer.

I know the detailer is much like the one that Adams has. What I am a little confused on is the Fast Finish and the Quick Wax. When are they used and can they be used in conjunction with each other? I have used the detail spray to remove the dust on the car and then followed it up with the quick wax prior to heading to a cruise-in. Not sure I can apply the fast finish and then a day or so later follow it with the quick wax. How long is the durability on each?

I am trying to stick with the Ultimate line as I think it may be a top of the line product.

You can top the UFF but you don’t need to.

All of Meguiar's Quik Detailer Sprays are primarily intended to allow the user to safely remove light dust & contaminants from the paint surface, in a mist on/wipe off type application. Each one of them also has their own unique characteristics in addition to light contaminant removal, i.e. added water beading, etc.

Meguiar's Quik waxes are intended to add actual wax protection & gloss, in an easy mist on/wipe off type application, with no white residue on exterior trim surfaces. Meguiar's Quik Waxes should be used on a clean surface free of light dust or contaminants. They are typically used to "boost" the life of your original wax coating, and not particular designed to be your main source of protection.

Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish is very unique compared to any of our other products. Ultimate Fast Finish is used in addition to or in place of a normal liquid or paste wax/sealant, it just so happens to be extremely quick & easy to apply. Hope this helps. Feel free to post further questions.

Thank you that helps a lot. I am planning a full detail which will be a wash, clay paint correction and then wax. So I will apply the final wax and then a coat of the Fast finish. I will then maintain it with the Quick Wax. Does that sound right?

          Wash, clay, polish, wax.
