Re: Hello to all from the great state of Texas!

I am not sure if or what the count number is for this Forum to be able to post in selected Forums. It actually might be a different data point used to measure for that privilege. As an example, a Forum might choose to use Rep Power as a measurement. So after 18 months on a Forum, my contributions might not yet meet that measurement.

However, I know that on another Forum ( a different web site) I use daily, they have a count before posting in selected Forums. For them, that includes their For Sale Forums.
Their Moderators (on the other site), will decrement a new members count, if they view the Member as making posts that are intended to only run up a count to gain access to privileges (not rights) on the Forum. Also, that other site may ban a user for attempting to bypass rules.

The other Forum, and in my personal opinion the normal users of this Forum, value posts that add to the knowledge base of information that is shared by others. The contributions to that knowledge base is what earns privileges.

Per your comment above, possibly a different approach would help you get to your goal.

Old Bear, you are correct! That was a poor choice of words on my part and I apologize to the forum. It will not happen again. Gpaw44

I see the alternative approach is working well for you.

Since you have been using Meguiar' s products for many years, I thought I would ask which Meguiar's product you liked the best.

                Welcome to MOL!

We currently do not have any minimum post requirements for members who would like to post items for sale.

While there is no post minimum for members looking to post items for sale, we also agree with Old Bear that most forums which have restrictions to certain levels of participation typically require a certain amount of relevant posts, and not just posting in random threads. No worries though!
