Hello,
I recently bought a new car and detailed it using the Ultimate family of Meguiar's products. After looking at the results I achieved, the work required seemed rewarding.
While I am still enthused I think I will work on one of my old cars; a 17 year old Honda Odyssey with white paint that has been treated carelessly over the years.
We built a new carport just for our new car but the old car sat under trees for its whole life. This morning I took some Isopropyl Alcohol and removed a lot of the blobs of tree sap.
What I have found is that the sap comes off and leaves the paint very smooth, but there is a gray colored or off white stain where the sap was resting.
I wonder what the best course of action may be. It does not seem like buffing will restore the color, unless the stain is in the very top of the paint finish. I am wondering what experienced finish experts may know about these sorts of stains. Can you share your insights?
Thank you.
