Help removing single stage paint scratches

Hello Everyone

I recently purchased an older car with single stage paint.

Coated it with Meg #7 (4) times and it helped bring back the shine and reduced the oxidation.

The paint is pretty bad as in scratches all over it.

I have wet sanded with 1500 and compounded with Meg 100 and a cutting pad, but it still has scratches.

Paint is thin in some spots afraid to sand thru.





Any advice would be most apreciated

Your photos are not showing up.

Just from reading your post, it sounds like they are left over sanding marks. I have seen most follow up with finer grits like 2000 and 3000. Sometimes even 5000.
