So I think I've made progress but not much. I'm going to be brave and use the mirror glaze medium cut followed by the fine cut but Before i do is it going to run the vettes shabby finish? No machines all by hand?

We would not recommend using Meguiar's Mirror Glaze M01 Medium Cut Cleaner by hand. This product is only recommended for a rotary polisher. Applying by hand will not properly break down the abrasives leaving a dull & hazed appearance.
If you are looking to work by hand to remove some oxidation, you would be MUCH better off using a product like our G17216 Ultimate Compound Color & Clarity Restorer.
Posting up a picture can certainly help us provide further recommendation.
