Pictures from August 11th, 2017 TNOG w/ D166 Ultra Polishing Wax

Tonight was a Special Thursday Night Open Garage - we had some of the new D166 Ultra Polishing Wax on hand for attendants to try out! We started in the training room for a Question & Answer Session with myself & Markus Kleis, Meguiar's Global Product Manager, Professional Line & Marine/RV.

The original car we planned on working on fell through (stuck in LA traffic), so we ended up working on this VW which looked like it had been seriously neglected for the better part of the last 10 years! Massive clear coat failure, severe scratches, extremely heavy swirl marks, deep water spot etchings, I mean you name it, it had it. Now, with that said, this probably wasn't the most ideal test car. This car needed much, much more than a one step, but we were limited on cars to work on, so we gave it a go to see what Ultra Polishing Wax could do!

Check out the before pictures below. YIKES

We started by wiping down the car's paint, (what was left of it!) with our D155 Last Touch Spray Detailer.

Next we used our C2000 Professional Mild Detailing Clay to remove the seriously rough feeling bonded contaminants. WOW

Attendants tested a a variety of pads on the car including DFC5 Soft Buff DA Foam Cutting Disc, WWRFP 7" Soft Buff Rotary Foam Polishing Pad, & DMC5 DA Microfiber Cutting Disc. For the majority of the car, we ended up using the DFC5 Soft Buff DA Foam Cutting Disc & DMC5 DA Microfiber Cutting Disc.

Below are some AFTER pictures. Not bad at all for an AIO on a car which needed MUCH more than a one step!

Some friends stopped by to check out the Open Garage, and they were please to hear we wanted to detail their car! We again used a combination of the DFC5 & DMC5 on this metallic red toyota.

Thanks to everyone for coming out! Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on the new Ultra Polishing Wax!

This new wax is an amazing product! It's very effective (one step) and SUPER EASY to remove!

      Impressive!

Now, about those headlights on the VW-you guys attack them also?

Yes, A couple of the guys corrected her headlights.
A couple more that arrived later, cleaned her windows and blackened her tires.

This product is a winner! Will be ordering a gallon and a pint as soon as my supplier has it in stock! Great job Markus Kleis, Nick Winn and Meguiar's team that R&D'd this new product!
