This is approved & recommend from hand application all the way up to our WRFC7 Soft Buff 7" Rotary Foam Cutting Pad via rotary polishing. What is really going to be fun for users is the defect removal which can be achieved with a Dual Action Polisher like our MT300. Meguiar's approves and recommends the use of our Soft Buff DA Foam Cutting Discs & DA Microfiber Cutting Discs for D166 Ultra Polishing Wax!

Guz, I'm glad you brought this up so to be clear, D166 Ultra Polishing Wax is absolutely a ground up, clean slate, brand new formulation, and not derived from any existing product.

D166 Ultra Polishing Wax has longevity similar to M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0! This is our longest lasting, most durable, best protecting Cleaner Wax /AIO we have ever produced.
    Thanks for the reply Nick!

Wow!! Significantly better cut than D151/D301 and has similar protection to M21?! This may be the best AIO in the market! Say good bye D151!!!

What's the cure time if one wants to top with say, UFF?

Re: NEW Product - Meguiar's D166 Ultra Polishing Wax

when doing a quick AIO application, I understand it isn't ideal to polish over plastic or rubber trim and it's best to avoid when possible, but in my experience on occasion some weathered rubber trim can actually benefit from a light polish. In your testing with this product, what is the potential for staining if some D166 accidentally hit's some textured trim and is accidentally allowed to dry? Some AIO's are very lubricated and dry clear, while others (M66) if not careful can leave behind a chalky film. I hope this makes enough sense to warrant a response! Thank you!!

Welcome to MOL! Of course it warrants a response! We receive this question often and thanks for bringing it up. With D166 Ultra Polishing Wax, if you were to get some on non painted exterior porous trim like rubber or colored plastic, if you wipe it off within a few minutes you should be fine.

This is all great to hear, I love 151 but the protection longevity was lacking. This is great to hear that it's going to cut better then 151 and last longer when any other AIO I'll be buying this on release day.
Welcome to MOL! We're happy to hear you are looking forward to trying it. I noticed your in So Cal, if your interested, were having a special TNOG tomorrow night, and will have some of this product on hand for attendants to try. More info HERE

                Hi BTLew81,

For best results if you are looking to top with another product like Ultimate Fast Finish, we would suggest allowing to cure for 12 - 24 hours.

                  Nick,

I'd love to join but I'm up in Vegas for some details until Friday. Maybe guz can give me the 411 if he goes.

What's the recommended time to let it sit on the car before wipe off?? With 151 I wipe after each panel but HD speed I can let sit until the whole cars done but only 5 mins of cure it really needed. So what is the cure time for this before we wipe off??

I also work in direct sunlight in over 100

Unfortunately I don't have a good estimate for you at this time : ( We are fully aware Meguiar's products in Canada are not as accessible for purchase like they are here in the US, and for that we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We are doing everything we can to increase availability of products across all of our lines in Canada.

We are excited to say that D166 Ultra Polishing Wax's wipe off is ultra effortless! It can absolutely be applied to a whole vehicle & the user will still experience easy wipe off, it was designed this way. Now as far as 100 degree direct sunlight! - That I have not tested.

Minimum dry time on paint is at least 5 - 10 minutes.

Well I'm excited to test it out, it's the environment I detail in daily and it's the major factor which dictates which products I can or can't use.
