  • Meguiar's Claybar (improved?)

So I was doing 5-step detailing since 2012 every year for 2 cars.
Then last week I was using my last year's Meguiar's claykit and finished off doing the '07 civic.

Then I bought a new clay kit and started the '10 CR-V. It's now on a square cylindrical shape rather than the usual flat-rectangular "soap" bar. Upon opening the clay, I noticed it is a bit elastic before it breaks away unlike the previous ones I had which is a bit sticky.
So I thought I would bring this back to Canadiantire. But to my surprise after getting the hang of it, it easily removes bonded contaminants with less strain on my arms and hands. I thought Meguiar's clay quality has now started to degrade over the years but this clay formulation is fantastic!
I was able to prove this when I clayed the tailgate of the CR-V. It's white and every year, this is the part of the vehicle with the most bonded contaminants. With this clay, I was able to finish claying much faster and easier. Kudos to Meguiar's!

    Anyone have noticed this too?

It was with the smooth clay kit. I never saw only clays being sold separately here.

Meguiar's sells clay, only, in the professional line...
