    Hey Bedrock,

Welcome to MOL. I just want to confirm, the scratches you are referring to are in the chrome plating itself, and not in the paint correct? If the scratches are in the chrome, whether or not they can come out really depends on how deep they are. Our latest metal polish is our G4510 Hot Rims Metal Polish, it can be used on chrome, and certainly has the ability to remove scratches, just depends on their severity.

For applying by hand, I would suggest using a soft foam applicator pad like our W0004 Soft Foam Applicator Pads. Work on a cool & clean surface in the shade. Hand flat, circular overlapping motion, with moderate pressure, and try to work the scratches out.

For applying by machine, I would suggest our G4400 Hot Rims Wheel Polisher. It hooks up to any drill (corded recommended). Dispense product onto drill attachment, start the machine slowly to spread the product out so it doesn't sling, and begin trying to work the scratches out.

Overall, I would just keep in mind you don't want to work too aggressively on this chrome surface.

You should not have any issue inflicting marks into the chrome using the G4510 Hot Rims Metal Polish. There is always a slight change when working with metal polish, but if you are concerned, use a soft foam applicator pad to apply. This will be the least aggressive accessory to use for applying.

I just wanted to clarify even further, if the scratches are anything beyond very very light, it's going to be tough to remove them unfortunately.

I would recommend giving it a try with a chrome polish & foam applicator. See if you can improve or diminish.
