  • Put Ult Fast Finish on too thick, high spots everywhere. Need Advice!

As the title says, I used too much UFF last time I applied it to the car and now I have high spots/streaking all over. In order to remove them, should I: 1) Rewash the car and reapply the Ult Fast Finish thinner and immediately buff it off section by section, OR 2) Will something like D115 @ 8:1 or Ult QD level out the finish & remove the streaks?

Hmmm.. maybe do a test with more UFF used sparingly on half a panel and see if it removes the residue? The solvent should break down the existing layer. If that fails maybe go over the car with a light polish, that will definitely remove it.

This is a forehead slap moment. I should have known the answer. I *did* reapply the Ult Fast Finish, but instead of using an applicator sponge, I used a folded microfiber as recommended.

All I can say is that it applied much faster, easier and WAY more even than ever using the mf VS the applicator sponge. And it DID remove the excess UFF, leaving the paint looking awesome again

Happy to hear you were able to remedy.
