  • Pad recommendations for PC 7335

I have a PC 7335 and the backing plate (W64DA) needs replacing.
What is the new part number and will they work with then new generation pads, such as DFC 5 AND DFP5? I am guessing these are the pads that work with my PC and the new backing plate.

You can go to buffdaddy.com and do a search for 5" meguiars foam discs. They'll be on there.

My old collection of pads have been the thick foam pads from 10 or more years ago. I see the new foam pads are lower profile. One question in regards to the foam pads is what do you guys think of the hex foam pads?

I'll let Dan answer that. He's the pad guru.

I will say the thin foam discs from Meguiar's are great pads. They will transform your PC.

I haven't tried the hex either, but love the new foam discs from Meguiar's. They're much better than the old pads.

I love the hex face pads for cutting and polishing. Specifically the green (cutting) and blue (polishing) foams. However, I hate dealing with Chemical Guy's, who have exclusivity for that specific design of those pads.

Fortunately, they're made by Buff and Shine, where I can get the foams - but without the hex face...

Personally, I can't tell the difference in performance from the taller pads to the thin ones. I had some 1.25"

Re: Pad recommendations for PC 7335

The new replacement backing plate for use with our 5" Soft Buff DA Foam Discs is the DBP5 Soft Buff DA Backing Plate 5"

Especially on a standard stroke machine like the PC7335, PC7424, our G110 or G110v2, MT300, GG6, having a lower profile pad design makes for much more efficient pad rotation. More pad rotation translates to better cutting & better finishing. If one is going to use our foam discs for these machines, we recommend the 5 Inch size, which are:

DFC5 5" Soft Buff DA Foam Cutting Disc
DFP5 5" Soft Buff DA Foam Polishing Disc
DFF5 5" Soft Buff DA Foam Finishing Disc

As others have mentioned more information on these discs can be referenced in the following below link:
