What's the best/easiest way to clean a car that slightly dusty. I prefer not drag out the hose and fill a bucket. In the past I've wet a rag wiped an area and then went over it with a dry towel. Also, how dirty does a car have to be to do a regular wet wash. Thanks.

Re: Washing a dusty car
I use a California Duster. The part where people mess up with them is they put pressure on it like they're wiping the car off with a towel. I hold it up so just the strands are touching the paint. As Blueline points out, I'm sure there's a YouTube video to demonstrate it.

Re: Washing a dusty car
Meguiar's Quik Detailer sprays are primarily intended for this task of light dust, fingerprint, or any light contaminant removal. They are a "mist & wipe" type application, wiping with a high quality microfiber towel such as our Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel. It is best to apply any detail spray in the shade on a cool surface. Examples of our Quik Detailer would be:
A3316 Quik Detailer Mist & Wipe
G7624 Gold Class Premium Quik Detailer
G14422 Ultimate Quik Detailer
MB0322 Mirror Bright Detailing Spray
If you are looking to remove more than "light" contaminants or "light" dust in a spray type application we also offer our Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax. The product offers much more cleaning & lubricating ability than our quik detail sprays. The combination of the design of the product, clean quality microfiber towels, and good technique, you can safely perform a "waterless" wash, or the removal of moderate levels of contaminants like road grime & dirt, from the vehicle in a spray on type application.

Re: Washing a dusty car
I'm always quite nervous when wiping the paint with dust on it. I understand that modern 'synthetic ' QD can lubricate and suspend dust particles so in theory it will not scratch. But IMO this is basically against the number one rule where dust + cloth = scratch.
