  • HELP removing scratch or abrasion

so i have 2 scratches/abrasions on my truck both of them when i run my hand finger over the long one i can feel the material is above the paint its raised witch leads me to believe something just rubbed against it and left material on my paint the little short one feels like it just took the clear coat off i can kinda feel the edges are jaged. i have already used a clay bar and used meguiars ultimate compound witch neither works any suggestions on how to remove these ?[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Did the application of Ultimate Compound show any improvement?

no it didn't my next step is to try miguiars professional mirror glaze compound M105 its more abrasive if that doesn't help enough then I'm gonna wet sand it i have 3000 and 2000 3M sand paper the big scratch seems like a soft runner/plast rubbed against it and left rubber behind the small one is definitely a scratch

Does your fingernail catch the scratch? Are you using the compound by hand or machine?

the bigger scratch is above the paint like whatever rubber against it left behind material the smaller one is into the paint my finger nail does catch it I'm trying to avoid wet sanding it. i first did it by hand today I'm gonna try using my dual action polisher with M105 i have 3M 2000 and 3000 grit
