Better is rather subjective as it seems to boil down to a matter of what you like best. How long a product lasts is less subjective. Which looks better is more subjective.
I personally find #26 to be on of my favorite waxes, if not my favorite. It's really easy to work with, and it looks nice. But I also use NXT 2.0 because it lasts longer and is more hydrophobic, UFF because it lasts even longer and is so quick, PRC + UQW when I want some correction, etc. ColorX does quite well on my silver motorcycle. I haven't tried Ultimate Wax just because I already have so many different waxes that I need to use up before buying more!

You are not going to get the pop with silver like a dark colored vehicle. Just the nature of the color. Trust me I know. But what you can do is polish it to brighten up the paint.
Go with ultimate wax. That gives silver a more candy coated look compared to M26. You could even apply UW and layer M26 over it.
M26 has a good distinction of image (D.O.I) which gives any paint a distinct look.

We have mentioned this many times, but in my experience, lighter colors respond very well to products with cleaning ability, like our "Cleaner/Polish" products. Secondly, the cleaning ability of our cleaner/polish products is best utilized when applied with a machine, like our MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
My recommendation would be to apply either our Ultimate Polish or Ultra Finishing Polish prior to applying a coat of wax. The cleaning ability of the product, for a light color, should work to really brighten up the paint & produce a high gloss. If working by hand, a foam or microfiber applicator pad would be best, applying in small square foot or so sections at a time. Hand flat, circular, overlapping motions, working the product in for about a minute or so in each area. The product should break down to a light wet film, which you will then want to wipe off with a microfiber towel.
In regards to wax, like others have said, a big percentage of the final look of the paint is from what you use & do to the paint before applying wax. Our Ultimate Wax is one of our most premium full synthetics at time. Excellent gloss, excellent durability.
