  • HI Everyone, this is Carlos from Colorado Springs, CO

I have a beautiful 2003 BMW Z4 which is in immaculate condition. Just recently my passenger door was heavily scratched during a wind storm (I have a car cover with a lock, and the lock hit the door creating the deep scratches). I have done some spray painting before and I am getting pretty good at it. I decided to paint the entire door (sand it, filled in the scratches, primed it, and spray paint it). It looks pretty good but I can see a little bit of orange peel due to the spray. In doing research as how to fix the orange peel, I found m any articles referring to Meguiar's products to fix the problem. My question to you is, I have not applied the clear coat yet and would like to try to fix the orange peel issue before I prime it using M205 and M105 for this purpose. Can I use your products directly in the pain before I put the clear coat to fix the orange peel or shall I apply the clear coat and then fix the orange peel? sorry this may seem a dumb question, but I spent already a lot of time making sure the paint job is great and don't want to redo it. I am sort of a perfectionist. Thanks for any comments.

Hi neighbor. I'd fix the defect first then finish the job.
