  • Lemriel here.

Hello you forum crazies for car care excellence. Had my 2003 Jaguar S-Type headlights (all 4) completely restored better than new at the open garage night with the great expertise of Nick of Mcquiar's and many other folks who came and lent a hand. The back trunk lid was also clay-barred and finished out with Mequiar's Correction compound. It's like glass now. Other minor scratches on that lid - cat scratch fever or kitty marks - were almost entirely removed, among other minor surface flaws at other locations around the body of the car. This car has original paint in extraordinary original shape and the car has not been in any accidents. This was verified by Nick testing the even deep paint thickness on all panels of the car. Therefore, the paint on all panels deserves to be cleaned and restored to a mirror finish like the trunk lid. The polished aluminum rims were also cleaned with their Clean and Wax spray. It worked wonders.

Onward and upward with other fine tuning the inside and outside of this well-kept 2003 S-type blue jaguar with white leather interior. Thanks all you great folks at Maguiar's open garage night.

    R. S. Lemriel

Welcome to the forum! I saw the turnaround on the headlights - quite impressive! Very pretty car in general. You'll have to post before and after shots as you continue to bring the condition up to 100%!

Hi Lydia - right, I'll have to do just that as the car moves forward with finer detailing inside and out. It is already in superb shape but can be much better with proper complete paint restoration, etc. All the best then from me - R. Scott Lemriel

Welcome to MOL Scott! We are happy to hear you enjoyed our Thursday Night Open Garage here in Irvine, CA. We were also happy to show some tricks & help you work on your Jaguar.

For those who missed it, below is the link to the pictures from the TNOG Lemriel attended:

        Also,

I don't believe we discussed care for your leather, but I would suggest checking out our G18516 Gold Class Leather & Vinyl Cleaner and our G18616 Gold Class Leather Conditioner. Most of our combination "cleaner/conditioners" have mild cleaning ability which are perfect for like new leather, but when we are trying to restore some older leather, a two step combination with a dedicate cleaner like the mentioned can provide much more effective cleaning.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or you can also start a new thread posting your questions so everyone can respond & others can learn from the discussion.

I will, of course, look into your recommended products. I still have the rest of the panel outside the car to bring out the best in the paint.
