Re: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit

Thank you - I checked locally two pep boys and neither location had it but I'll order online. (it's odd that it's not listed on the product page - http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/ or even when I searched for Perfect clarity - this is all that shows up... http://www.meguiars.com/en/search/?term=perfect+clarity ) Ill order from autogeek or amazon anyways as I like what I've heard so far.

    Thanks for the prompt reply

Re: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit

Had the opportunity to use this over the weekend.

I actually had my brother apply it to his glass while I supervised and watched him do it. He is a consumer and did well following the directions. So props to Meguiar's for making it easy to use for anyone.

We clayed the glass prior to using the kit. Followed up with the compound and then the sealant per the directions.

We chose to use it by hand since the glass had no water spots. We just wanted to remove anything that may have still been on the glass from the 3 year old windshield coating which has faded in performance after 1 year.

The only issue we had was the strong IPA scent from the glass sealant. It is potent.

I would recommend using gloves and it is a good thing I made him put gloves on prior to starting the sealant application.

My brother also said the grey sealant applicator was a tad small and hard to manipulate.

Other than that everything went well. The glass was clean and slick.

We won't be able to provide longevity updates as he put the car up for sale. So we will see how it holds up until it is gone.
