Can Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound be applied by machine, like D/A polisher, or is it strictly formulated/limited to hand application ?
    Hey Greg,

Yes, you can use a DA Polisher to apply the Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound. I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but I have been told really any pad you would like to use will be fine.

Re: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit

      Thank you very much, Nick.

I used Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit for the first time today. I applied it to the medium sized sedan, Buick Lacrosse.

First I cleaned the windshield and rear glass with Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner. Then I clayed the glass. After that I cleaned it again with Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner and used Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound by hand with enclosed foam applicator. The product does not have a long buffing cycle, it behaves like M105, but the cycle is long enough. The scent is similar to NxT Glass Cleaner, but much more intense. The initial wipe-off of Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound was a little hard, just the initial part, and then there were no issues.

I cleaned the glass again, with Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner, and I realized that microfiber towel (Meguiar's Supreme Shine) just smoothly glides on the surface. It was absolutely effortless.

Then I applied the sealant. It has a very strong scent so I recommend using it in well ventilated areas. I used enclosed foam applicator. The product goes on very easily and smoothly. After first application very little amount needs to be added. I let it dry for about 15 minutes and wiped it off. The wipe-off wasn't hard. After that I noticed a big obvious improvement in glass clarity. It looked super clean and clear.

I should hear back from the vehicle's owner after his first rain drive. I will post again with his initial feed back.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit

I've got a very positive feedback in regards to Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit performance. The vehicle's owner states that water just beads off glass extremely well. The glass remains very clean and clear. The wipers move without typical rubber squeaking noise.

I have more applications to do this week. I'll apply Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound by a D/A polisher this time.

Re: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit

I completed Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit application on three more vehicles. I used dual action polisher to apply Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound. This time wipe-off of the compound was much easier. The buffing cycle was still not too long and there was some dusting toward the end of it, similar to M105.

Glass cleaning: Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner
Clay: Hi Tech Magna detailing sponge, water/car soap
Preparation: Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound
Rupes Bigfoot Mini (LHR 75E) speed 3
                Meguiar's Soft Buff 2.0 W8204 4-inch yellow polishing pad
Sealant: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Sealant

A little word about Rupes Bigfoot Mini LHR 75E: that mini 12mm orbit dual action polisher has some power. Quite noisy on higher speeds (setting 4 and higher).

Thanks for taking the time to review! I'll have to give it a try sometime.

Re: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit

                      Thanks, Davey and Lydia.

My favorite part of the process is the wipe-off of Glass Polishing Compound, when microfiber towel just glides effortlessly on glass surface without any resistance/traction.
Glass Sealant is quite greasy. Hand protective gloves are highly recommended.

I am new to this whole detailing thing. Would you use this on the inside of the windows as well or would you do something else for interior windows.

Exterior side glass windows are perfectly OK yes.

No worries! You are in a good place for information. These products would not be recommended on the inside of glass nor would they ever really be needed. Stick with a automotive glass cleaner like our G8224 Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner and a quality microfiber towel like our X2020 Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel.

Has this kit / product been discontinued?

I'd like to purchase this but can't seem to find it in any local brick and mortar stores... can't even find it on Meguiars.com website either - I'm fine purchasing direct from Meguiars... I see it on only 1 or 2 online retailers... Is it still around?

Product is still active. It looks like Pep Boys shows to carry it as far as local brick & mortar.
