    Hello

    Hello All,
    New member here and wanted to say hello. After years of "not dealing" with my car here in Los Angeles, I went on Youtube and discovered Meguiar's products. I clayed, hand polished with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, then waxed (Meguiar's carnauba paste wax) my entire car. Total time about 12 hours. While the car (2007 black Prius) looks quite a bit better, it looks like I'll never get the hood or roof (or spoiler) back to a great shine. There's overspray and chips on the faded hood (after hand polishing with Ultimate Compound) and the paint is still pretty faded on the roof as well. Hoping to go to a Meguiar's Saturday class and get a professional opinion soon. Thanks

    Welcome Hawkwind. Look on the bright side, you can practice your new found obsession on the Prius then perfect your skills on the next "newer" car. 10 years is hard on auto paint if nothing has been done to it, even 2/3 years will cause irreversible damage. For your next wax session, I might suggest Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax or the new Ultimate Fast Finish. You'll get longer protection.

        Thanks for the welcome. Talked to a good detailer today, and it looks like its worth it to have the paint restored on the hood and roof, and the couple tiny dents pulled. Won't be letting it go this far again! For the cost of a couple monthly payments on a brand new car, my car will be in great shape again. I'll be headed to a Meguiar's class in Irvine very soon. Thanks Again.
